Moslem Sadeghigoughari

PhD - Co-Founder

Moslem holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics from the University of Waterloo, where his research focused on ultrasound imaging for cancer treatment. He is the inventor of one patent and the author of 16 peer-reviewed journal articles, with presentations at five international conferences in the fields of ultrasound and biomedical engineering.

Over the past eight years, Moslem has gained extensive experience in medical device R&D, pushing the boundaries of ultrasound technology. At Cauchy Analytics, he spearheads both technology development and regulatory initiatives, ensuring that each innovation not only advances the field but also meets the highest standards of safety and efficacy. His strategic insights into market analysis and commercialization guide the company toward sustainable growth.

Rakshit Shetty

MD – Co-Founder

A seasoned critical care physician, Dr. Rakshit Shetty holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and an MBBS from MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai, India. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care, he also brings robust clinical research experience from Africa, reflecting his commitment to expanding advanced healthcare worldwide.

At Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and Springfield Clinic, he has spearheaded quality-improvement initiatives and mentored countless residents. His diverse background in critical care, research, and innovation has been pivotal in shaping Cauchy’s mission to create a non-invasive, AI-driven monitoring solution—one that ensures cutting-edge healthcare technologies remain accessible in diverse clinical environments.

The Spark: A Critical Care Challenge
During the height of the COVID-19 crisis, frontline healthcare faced unprecedented demands. In airborne isolation rooms, performing frequent point-of-care (POC) ultrasounds was both time-consuming and risky. These conditions revealed a critical gap - real-time cardiac imaging needed to be more efficient, safer, and simpler to deploy. This realization laid the groundwork for an innovation that would transform how clinicians monitor the heart in critical settings.
From Idea to Prototype
In August 2022, Cauchy Analytics took shape around a groundbreaking solution: an AI-driven, wearable ultrasound device capable of remote heart imaging and continuous hemodynamic monitoring. Within months, the team completed a prototype demonstrating the feasibility of continuous cardiac imaging—a milestone that bridged the gap between traditional, intermittent scans and the urgent need for real-time, non-invasive monitoring.
